Less than 10% of employees believe their bosses are demonstrating moral leadership

By Diane Brady, article first published in Fortune.

LRN was cited in Fortune’s CEO Daily for its role in advancing moral leadership in business. In the February 5, 2026 edition, Fortune highlighted insights from Dov Seidman, LRN’s founder and chairman, drawing on the HOW Institute for Society’s 2026 study of more than 2,500 U.S. employees.

The research underscores a growing gap between the urgency employees feel around moral leadership and how effectively leaders are delivering it—while also linking strong moral leadership practices to higher customer satisfaction, innovation, and employee retention.

More than 9 in 10 employees recognize the need for moral leadership, but fewer than 10% of CEOs are judged to be leading effectively. “If you can get yourself into the top tier, the benefits are massive,” Seidman told Fortune. “You build resilience, loyalty, and get better results.”

The mention reinforces LRN’s long-standing work helping organizations lead with values that drive both trust and performance.
