Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. (EPRI) is a global player in the electrical equipment and energy research space, dedicated to advancing safe and sustainable energy practices. With operations spanning Ireland and North America, EPRI supports the power industry by developing science-based solutions that enhance reliability, safety, and environmental performance. Since 2011, the organization has partnered with LRN to develop and mature a comprehensive ethics and compliance program, including a robust library of training modules, an engaging Code of Conduct, and targeted HR training.
Thirteen years ago, EPRI did not have a formal compliance program in place. As regulatory expectations and industry risks increased, the organization needed to build a structured program from the ground up to help employees understand their obligations, mitigate risk, and stay current with evolving regulations and best practices. EPRI required a partner that could provide both foundational training and ongoing support as the program grew in scope and sophistication.
EPRI partnered with LRN to implement a comprehensive ethics and compliance framework. Using a combination of LRN’s library training modules and custom-designed courses, the organization rolled out training that addressed key risk areas and aligned with its culture and operations. LRN also worked with EPRI to develop a dynamic Code of Conduct, both as a written document and as learning modules, bringing the company’s principles and policies to life for employees. Targeted HR training further reinforced expectations around conduct and compliance.
Over time, LRN has helped EPRI significantly increase the effectiveness and quality of its compliance program. The organization reports a better understanding of regulations, updates, and best practices, reduced exposure to risk, and decreased administrative time.
By refining course lengths without sacrificing substance, EPRI has been able to keep employees engaged while maintaining high standards for compliance education.
“Training modules continue to reduce time without losing content.”
