We're excited to transition you to the LRN Catalyst platform!

Below is a list of common questions about this required upgrade. If your question isn't answered below or for any other support, please reach out to the migration team by emailing catalystupgrade@lrn.com.

When do I need to upgrade my CLMS platform to LRN Catalyst by?

You must upgrade your CLMS platform to LRN Catalyst by end of May 2024 for APAC and end of April 2024 for all other regions. Beginning April 1, 2024, your existing CLMS admin access will be downgraded to read-only. You will no longer be able to create new assignments or users. You will be able to extract reports from the system.  

We recommend that you begin working our migration team as soon as possible to do the following. 

  • Configure the new platform according to your needs (users, admins, courses etc.).  
  • Get trained to ensure you are confident and comfortable launching training when the time is right.

How long does the upgrade take?

Your upgrade will be done in 2 weeks. This can vary depending on any potential complexities within your current set-up.  

What training and support is provided?

You’ll have a dedicated upgrade manager to help configure your site, train your admins and support with launching your first campaign. There are several resources (guides, videos, webinars) to assist administrators that will be shared at the start of the upgrade. 

Is this upgrade mandatory or can I keep my CLMS?

The upgrade from CLMS to LRN’s Catalyst platform is mandatory and must be done before the CLMS platform expires. If your upgrade is not completed prior to the expiration, you risk losing access to your site. 

Why do I have to upgrade my platform? Can I keep my existing platform?  

In December 2022, LRN acquired Compliance Learning, and as a result all CLMS accounts are being upgraded to LRN’s Catalyst platform. The good news is you are receiving this upgrade at no cost and will now have access to LRN’s industry-leading features and capabilities!

Will anything change with my current course or platform products? 

Yes, there will be several differences and improvements when you upgrade. Compliance Learning courses and LRN courses have a different look and feel, more functionality, and a larger selection. In addition, the LRN Catalyst platform has products that were not available on CLMS such as Catalyst Disclosures, Catalyst Design (for editing courses), and Catalyst Reveal (for analytics and benchmarking).  

What are the major functionality differences between CLMS and LRN Catalyst?

Both solutions provide key LMS functionality, including reporting. What sets the LRN Catalyst platform apart are its advanced analytics features, benchmarking, editing tools, and compliance-focused functionality such as disclosures management.

Is the LRN Catalyst interface available in multiple languages?

Yes. Our employee learning portal is available in over 70 languages. 

My TR site is branded with a logo, color scheme, etc. Will I be able to apply the same branding in LRN Catalyst?

Yes. All LRN Catalyst sites are customized with logos. Your dedicated upgrade manager will help you with additional customizations. 

Will I be able to move Compliance Learning courses to LRN?

Most CL courses have an equivalent within LRN’s library. In the event that a course is not available, you will be able to continue using your current SCORM but updates will not be supported in the future.  

We encourage you to use LRN Library courses rather than Compliance Learning courses for better functionality and reporting. This ensures you will get the most up-to-date content and technology support.    

Will I be able to run completion history reports before my CLMS account is deactivated?

Prior to CLMS deactivation, your admins can run completion reports at any time. Your dedicated LRN upgrade manager will also provide (and store) completion reports for future reference.

Once you’ve migrated to LRN, learners should contact their own internal training administrators. If you’re an admin, you have access to the LRN support team using the numbers and email address mentioned above. You can also raise a support ticket within the Catalyst platform.  

Where do I send the check?  Will there be changes to payment terms?

Each customer should send payment according to the invoice they are paying. Invoices should be paid to LRN in accordance with the instructions on the LRN invoice sent to your finance team. 

What do I do if I have a question about billing or my invoice from Thomson Reuters?

If you have questions regarding an invoice from Thomson Reuters, please reach out to them using the contact information provided on their invoice. For any questions on an invoice from LRN, please contact the below emails.
