As a biotechnology company operating in highly regulated markets, Verily recognized that a strong ethics and compliance (E&C) program had to resonate with employees at every level of the business. In 2022, the company partnered with LRN to modernize its approach to E&C training and gain deeper insight into program effectiveness
The challenge
Verily’s existing ethics and compliance program needed to be more employee-focused and easier to navigate. Core elements, including the Code of Conduct, training curriculum, and related policies, required an update to better reflect how employees learn and work today. The company wanted training content and delivery that felt modern and intuitive, while also providing leaders with clearer visibility into how employees were engaging with E&C resources.
The solution
To address these needs, Verily implemented LRN’s Inspire Library training courses and Catalyst Reveal. Inspire Library gave Verily access to an extensive catalog of courses across more than 13 critical risk areas in over 70 languages, allowing the company to deliver intuitive, engaging training experiences that supported a diverse global workforce.
Catalyst Reveal added an analytics layer on top of this learning experience. With Reveal, Verily gained advanced insights into course performance and learner behavior, including sentiment analysis, actual time spent in courses, and question-level data such as easiest and hardest questions and how many attempts learners needed to answer correctly.

I love being able to drill down by course to get details on easiest and hardest questions, as well as how many times it took learners to complete the course with correct answers. The details on actual time spent in course are more granular than we had without Reveal. The partnership with LRN led to higher learner engagement, quicker time to achieving 100% completion for required training, and recognition from employees of improved accessibility features, such as dyslexia-friendly fonts. Inspire Library helped increase completion rates and program effectiveness, while Catalyst Reveal enabled Verily to better understand regulations, updates, and best practices, and to benchmark performance against peers.
