At LRN we always strive to keep security a top priority. In today’s world, where security threats and data sensitivity are significant issues, it is critically important that we keep our platform and partner information safe and secure. Every day, our technology team, leadership team, and wider organization operate with the intention of doing the right thing, and when it comes to data and information, it is our goal to provide a secure and reliable infrastructure to our partners.
LRN is proud to announce that we have achieved ISO 27001: 2013 Standard certification for our operations team. The functions encompassed are technology (software development), network operation, quality assurance, content production – library, content production – custom, corporate IT, partner support, people and culture, physical security and administration, and information security.
What Is ISO 27001?
ISO 27001 is well known and globally accepted Information Security Standard, which covers 14 domains, 35 control objectives, and 114 control requirements. It provides a set of requirements for how Information Security Management Systems should handle data and information in a way that is safe, secure, and consistent.
This covers all the technical, policy, and procedural control requirements which will ensure that the LRN systems are safe and partner data which LRN stored and processed are secured.
What does this mean?
Doing the right thing is of paramount importance at LRN. With this certification, you can trust that LRN is committed to safeguarding your data in a way that aligns with the most sophisticated security standards. Further, this certification means that LRN has the required internal process and organizational structure to manage all risks related to information security, protect information assets, and are compliant with global best practices and information security regulations.
“Considering the depth of our relationships with our partners, the emerging privacy-related regulations like GDPR and CCPA and the current environment in which many workplaces are highly distributed because of the pandemic, we’re taking steps to affirm that our partners’ data is as secure as possible and that our systems and people are held to the highest information security standards in industry,” said Pravin Baviskar, Leader of Information Security at LRN. “Pursuing ISO 27001 is one of the ways we reinforce that commitment.”
After a rigorous audit process, LRN’s ISO 27001:2013 certificate was issued by BSI (British Standard Institute) along with ANAB (ANSI National Accreditation Body) for LRN’s Mumbai office on October 30th 2020.
